A demonstration of the Quanser Shake table II with an active mass damper (AMD)
The Quanser Shake Table II is a mid-size open-architecture single-axis earthquake simulator ideal for teaching structural dynamics, vibration isolation, feedback control, and other control topics related to earthquake, aerospace and mechanical engineering.
The Shake Table II XY consists of two single-axis Shake Table II units mounted perpendicularly on top of each other. Each stage can travel ±7.6 cm. Driven by powerful motors, the Shake Table II XY can achieve an acceleration of 2.5 g when loaded with a 7.5 kg mass.
The Hexapod stands as a compact and robust six degrees of freedom parallel robotic motion platform, capable of high-acceleration movement handling up to 100 kg. Distinguishing itself from conventional Stewart platforms, this Hexapod utilizes advanced electrical motors, ensuring precision, responsiveness, and minimal maintenance.
