Kent State University, a trailblazer in aerospace engineering education, recently unveiled its state-of-the-art Aeronautics and Engineering building. Dr. Ali Abdul-Aziz, a distinguished professional with 35 years of expertise as a senior research scientist at NASA, joined the university in 2016. His mission: to spearhead a robust aerospace engineering and thermal fluid sciences program. Our recent conversation with Dr. Aziz provided invaluable insights into his use of various TecQuipment products in teaching.
In the pursuit of academic excellence, Dr. Aziz thoroughly explored options for thermal fluid science equipment. Impressed by the success of a colleague's acquisition and utilization of the Subsonic Wind Tunnel (AF1300), he connected with Cary from Buckeye, our dedicated representative in Ohio.
Following a visit to Jackson College, Michigan, USA, where he witnessed the demonstrated functionality and quality of the purchased equipment in thermofluids and solid mechanic labs, Dr. Aziz made the decision to integrate TecQuipment's teaching tools into Kent State University's cutting-edge curriculum.
Kent State's aerospace engineering program, in its nascent stage, aims to establish itself as a leader in the field. Dr. Aziz, specializing in thermal analysis, played a pivotal role in establishing a thermo fluids lab catering to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The undergraduate course focuses on imparting fundamental principles in thermo sciences: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

A compact, practical open-circuit suction wind tunnel for studying aerodynamics. The wind tunnel saves time and money compared with full-scale wind tunnels or airborne laboratories, and it offers a wide variety of experiments.
A bench top base unit for demonstrating different methods of heat transfer. Requires at least one of the four optional experiments.
A frame mounting versatile data acquisition system (VDAS) to allow computer-based data capture for a wide range of TecQuipment products.
