The Quanser Mechatronic Systems Board is designed to provide hands-on experience with a complete mechatronic system in a safe, and academically appropriate setting. The board gives students an opportunity to delve into the operation of a mechatronic system at every level, from motor interfacing all the way to an engaging application context using industry-grade instrumentation and real-time control.
Mechatronic systems are all around us from industrial robot arms and autonomous cars to home washing machines. Unfortunately, these types of systems are often either too complex, abstracted, or dangerous to be used for education. The Quanser Mechatronic Systems Board is designed to provide hands-on experience with a complete mechatronic system in a safe, and academically appropriate setting. The system is composed of two DC motors that direct-drive a five-bar linkage. At the end of the manipulator, linkage is a downward-facing camera. Together these parts allow the user to delve into the operation of a mechatronic system at every level. The QNET Mechatronic Systems board is the only solution that takes students from component-level knowledge of sensors, actuators, and interfacing fundamentals to a system-level understanding of mechatronics design.

Designed exclusively for the NI ELVIS III platform and LabVIEW™, the Quanser Mechatronic Actuators board exposes students to industry-grade measurement and command fundamentals for the four most common actuator types: brushed DC motors, brushless DC motors, stepper motors, and servo motors.
A critical component of any mechatronics course or program is an understanding of the theory and application of sensors used in mechatronic systems. The Quanser Mechatronic Sensors Board introduces students to various sensors that measure pressure, strain, temperature, contact, distance, angular displacement, and dynamics.
